Scotland The Brave - Where's Your Saltire, Ed?
85 Answers
I am astonished that it takes a Sassenach to point out that you have not hoisted the Saltire in the top left AB corner.
Where are the ardent Scots on here, the likes of Anneasquith or Douglas, or even mazie, nungate, queenie, minty, slinky, slappy or Albs? They should be on here giving you a right ol' rough time.
Wee drams awae to yer all, north of the Wall.

We play surrounding courses,a different one each day.All of the courses are excellent, but my favourite one is Tain. I think this is because I always seem to play well there, and normally pick up the cash.
It is truly a magnificent parkland course, and very reasonably priced too.

I love Nairn DTC...it's our bolthole...that and Peterhead. We don't golf but we enjoy it all the same ;)
The hotel we go to is in the street where the banker was murdered....I see there's been a fresh appeal and 2 new witnesses have come forward...after 10yrs ? That's a strange one...(especially is you know Nairn like DTC and I do)

lol - once played with the Pres of Titleist, an American, there. The pro asked me to accompany him around. This was pre-the causeway and he had come across for the Senior Brit Open. He was a member at Dornoch but had never played Tain before, couldn't get on at Dornoch as there was a local comp on.
Just off the plane and he shot a one over, aged 66, and he inspired me to go around in 4 over - and three boxes of Titleists added in as well! And a couple of drams of Morangie in the club house right behind 18. He couldn't believe those last three holes and the Alps!

I'll repost my greetings as I did them early doors on the first thread.

My sister-in law (hubbys sis) wedding reception was at Skibo. They were married in Dornoch.
My brother-in-law is well connected not only in the forces....he's Jersey born and bred ;) Money does indeed talk.
Skibo was that...then all that !! Snobbery doesn't ever impress me...on the contrary.I have to say Skibo could have done snobbery to excess but they didn't ...everyone was made comfortable and that my friends is the difference between faux snobbery and simple unadulterated excellence. If only I could win the lottery....
If only the faux snobs could see that we see right through them ;)

It is rather beautifully put together - we didn't get to stay there, being down the road at the Morangie House Hotel (400 yards from the distillery) - the hotel has an amazing range of scotch too....and a neat pint from Dunbar in the Belhaven, one of my fav beers.
For Mamya and kyle's memory, here's Skibo, once the home of Andrew Carnegie in Scotland, things like the special seat for him at the head of the dining table and all the door handles set low, as he was only 4-11. (you have to use the arrows at the bottom and the side of the page....)
