Another forum I subscribe to allows me to edit my contribution for about five minutes after posting.
Would it be possible to introduce that here - it's muck better than having to post a further entry to correct typos.

When I was forced to work for a living we used to issue calculate claims to benefits after spending ages assessing a claim we would send out Girocheques .
Once we hit "Enter" to let the cheque go on its way and, and no earlier, did you miss a glaring error in your calculation.
We wanted a further period of time to change the calculation but they said "No" - but using civil service words that nobody understood.

I think a message saying 'You are about to submit' and a copy of your script maybe enough to make us reread what we've written.
I make dreadful errors- sticky keyboard/haste/poor vision but the main reason is I often fail to double check before submitting.
