Yes, totally fed up with this. Has ruined the weekend on AB. Can't understand how this is allowed to continue.
Can't understand why I am not getting any of this. Chrome and two unmentionable add-ons.
Jackdaw it completely stopped for me when I installed adblock. Chrome on a laptop.

Yes, has similar problems. Against my better judgement (why should I sod about to cure a problem which should obviously be dealt with by AB) I downloaded Google Chrome. It seems to have solved the advert popup problem. However, now whenever I change questions in AB I get this:

Suspicious Web Page Blocked

For your protection, this web page has been blocked and submitted for review. Visit Symantec to learn more about phishing and internet security.

It is recommended that you do NOT visit this page, however if you know that this web page is safe, you may choose to visit this web page anyway.

I can choose “visit this web page anyway”. I daresay there is something I can do to overcome this on a permanent basis but once again, why should I endure this utter nonsense? Then the page becomes “unresponsive”. Is it really too much to ask, in 2015, to be able to visit a forum website without needing a degree in advanced IT.? No other forum sites that I use present me with this problems. Why AB?

Answers on a postcard please (because I doubt I'll be able to read them here (already been redirected to a dating website whilst writing this).
Expecting a huge apology tomorrow.
You may meet me on the dating site NJ - I've been redirected there a few times. For your peace of mind and physical safety, I must say that Mr. J2 has become used to his status and would object to changes being made.

Seriously, Ab Editor, this is getting beyond a joke. I do not wish to part from the on-line friends and discussions which I have here.

Ab Editor - Are you listening?!!!

Don't hold your breath!
;o)
I've been having problems as well - popups from an address something growf.com amongst others and redirecting automatically to king.com

Have now switched browsers to one with built in adblock so that I could post this message.

Now leaving AB for the night - hopefully the site will be fixed tomorrow
Hi all, the problem is due to some dodgy adverts appearing on the site, which of course should not be here. I have switched off the provider so this should no longer happen. Thank you for your patience, and apologies that you've had to put up with this over the weekend.
Spare Ed...have you seen the numerous queries below this...along with others in both CB and Technology? Some of us are patient...many others are not. I think a comment to all affected would be much appreciated. It will be lost here.
Thanks, SpareEd. Problem does seem to be cured today.

You may note that my patience was wearing extremely thin for which I apologise !!!
If the problem was as simple as that to cure, why couldn't the provider have been cut off at the weekend. However, things seem back to normal now.
Back to normal as in avatars not showing and youtube links blank.
.... give me strength !
Having been plagued with the same problem both on PC and laptop since the end of last week the PC now seems ok, now here is the but, the laptop still will not allow AB , (norton) still says site unsafe. Any ideas as to how to cure this? Pretty please.
Please keep it simple as I am computer thick.
Baza, is Norton your anti-virus or is that a plug-in installed on your browser that's giving you the message? The AnswerBank is safe to use so Norton shouldn't be giving you a message like that.
AB spare Ed, Norton anti virus on both computers
All fixed, Norton should be behaving itself now.
You might need to update your antivirus for it to stop showing as a scary website.
