I think MM's point is that, after a month, anything added to any thread on AB no longer shows up in 'Latest Posts', so people contributing to that thread aren't alerted to the fact there's just been something new added to it.

I would imagine most people who are following it know where it is , and/or have it subbed thereby it appears in your own 'latest posts' every time someone adds.

Lift your hand and slide the sleeping cat onto your head, this leaves both hands free to type with.
