Afternoon,

I'm having another look at what we can do about it. It runs fine for me however, so it's difficult to experience what you're experiencing sometimes.

One question, as always, is: are you using any plugins? Sometimes extra search bars, plugins and the like can get in the way of the site rendering.

We hope to clear up some of the issues on the new site...

... Which is coming soon, we're just having a bit of trouble moving the categories about as we would like.

Hi Chris, I don't like the format of the mobile site.
No plugins and stopped 3 times doing this!!
I give up!!
Always long running script.
Is that on IE Gill?
Yep - it's nearly always impossible to navigate through the pages, on Android - it just keeps freezing .
I asked the same question just a few days ago galasalmon because I was finding the site impossible to use sometimes http://www.theanswerbank.co.uk/Technology/Question1519298.html
One good thing, at least, has come out of this
discussion. We all know that it isn't our
computers that are at fault, so now we don't need
to look for expensive cures! (I've typed this in
Notepad, then copied and pasted it; it's the only
sure way of avoiding the frozen screen.)
It doesn't really rule it out Bookbinder!
No issues on Firefox and Win 10 Pro
Yes, Ed, no doubt there are other problems lurking
somewhere!
I'm running windows 10 and Chrome, and it has been fine all day today.
(Which I understand, is not very helpful from me - sorry!)
Windows 7 and Chrome at work on PC - Same at home

Sometimes i get a good run - other times it just refuses to do anything .

Android - Chrome - nearly always frozen
I have been suffering with this problem for weeks and resorted to using the m. site. Having seen this thread, I resolved to see if I could see what was causing the problem. In trying to do so, I seem to have fixed it! ... without seeing what the cause was, unfortunately.

Can other users of Chrome try this ...

1) While you're looking at AnswerBank, hit F12. You will see a developer window appear.
2) Wait 30 seconds
3) Hit F12 again. The developer window will disappear.

In my case, doing the above made AnswerBank usable again.

Thanks Beun, that's helped my particular problem .. (chrome)
Elina, do you mean that you are now using the mobile site as recommended by Buenchico? Would you mind trying what I posted above and seeing if that helps on the desktop site for you?
Of course I will Ellipsis.
Do I follow those instructions on the mobile or desktop ellipsis?
