Dear All,

After 8 or 9 years (I honestly can't remember) of looking after, moderating and editing The AnswerBank in some capacity, I am moving on to pastures new.

I've enjoyed watching the site change over the years, from the frankly wild and lawless place I inherited to the fairly well-rounded site we have now (with a lot of silliness in between).

It has been a pleasure serving the community and I look forward to seeing how it grows and changes in the future. My last day of tyranny will be Friday 30th June.

Naturally, we're not leaving you Edless. In fact, the current Spare Editor will be stepping up to fill in my role (but you know, better). She will be taking up the AB Editor account and using that as their main form of communication with you, our dear readers.

The new Ed has lots of exciting things planned, and I am looking forward to enjoying them as a member.

Yes, I'll be signing up as a regular after I leave so I can check in on the usual troublemakers :)

I am sure there's something I've missed, so please feel free to ask questions below.

It would be nice if the Ed designate was to post something in this thread. I can't see any reason why she can't, unless male dominance is preventing it.

I was on the naughty step for simply annoying the life out of Ed...which makes me wonder how it's only happened once.... ;-)

I fail to see why it matters to you, as long as the Ed has seen it - so can we drop the hostilities now, like I said, I don't want the new Ed to start off thinking we are unable to be civil.
