Is It Possible To Have An Automatic 'subscribe' To All Ab Postings. ?

Good afternoon Ed.

If I submit a question, it is automatically 'subscribed' for all replies. However, if I reply to another ABers question it is necessary for me to activate the 'subscribe' button if I wish to receive notification of any further development in the thread concerned.

I think that all written postings into AB should be subjected to 'Automatic Subscription'.

The reason for my view on this matter is that I, and possible a lot of other folk ,forget to press the 'Subscribe' button and miss important feed-back, for which in effect we are waiting. After all, surely we all wish to know how our comments have been received.

Oops, it looks as if Automatic Subscription is No longer the position for submitted Questions.

Anyway, I have now 'subscribed' to my Question and await comments.

good grief, no, I don't want my inbox deluged with invitations to view all the drivelling nonsense summoned up by my well-thought-out and elegantly written posts.

However, it might be feasible to have an Subscribe-to-all-my-posts button that you could switch on and off as you pleased. Just not an automatic one that everyone is defaulted to.

I do hope not Hans as many of us would then have to spend all day unsubscribing - my subbed threads list is way too long already and the task of deleting is laborious as you have to open each one individually to get rid.

Scroll to the bottom
and it is there as a 'Tick Box'

@Baldric....The box only refers to my questions and is ticked but appears now to be inactive.

Anyway, I shall Not pursue my thoughts any further on this matter which was in respect of replies I give to ABers questions and Not merely viewing an item.
