2013 seems to be the default when something goes awry, happens if I use back button too often, close and reopen browser usually clears it.

tried that mamya no good now using laptop all ok ..smartphone browser causing the problem x

Yes, has happened before although i've never had it.
If you google "answerbank crosswords" you get taken to a crosswords thread from quite a few years ago-(I remember the answer was radii)- and this got so many pages of new clues tagged on that Ed had to close it to new posts.
