Dear Editor .....would You Please Consider Making 'politics' A Main Heading Please?

I've asked this before but I'm asking again. In the absence of easily seen and easily 'clickable' topics, 'News' has become a jumble of just about everything. No discussion there lasts long because once threads disappear from the first page, which due to the enormous amount of traffic passing through there, happens very rapidly, in the main, they become forgotten - hence less interest than might otherwise be the case. Talbot has posted a question in 'Politics' and it's the only one there, when really 'Politics' could be taking a lot of the threads that really shouldn't be in 'News' .... but is. Some people have responded to Talbot's thread, but only, I'm guessing, because they've seen it in 'Latest Posts' as I did - not because they've searched the sub-categories.

I just tried to see the politics section, and I realise the new site does not have a link to it.
I think it is Talbot who posted there. I think he must have had an old bookmark to be able to do that.
But that means the post is unfindable by anyone else after it has dropped off the Latest Posts.
When the Politics section was findable, no one used anyway, which is why it all amalgamated to News.

When we redesigned the website one of the things we were going to do was remove some of the sub-categories and promote some of them to become main categories. This didn't happen for reasons I'm unsure of but I think we should revisit it.
Are there any other sub-categories that you would like to see become main categories?
