I've Tried Everything To Fix This

Since reverting back to my original name on here ( Bobbisox)1 I've gone to my profile and unchecked subscribe,however I'm still getting loads of mail when someone else is answering a post I've been involved in, I've scrolled to the bottom of each email and clicked on the link to unsubscribe, still they keep coming, is there anything else I can do to stop this please?

Meanwhile, if you have a read of the replies to the Spare Ed's sticky at the top of this section, you'll see that you are Not alone in being unable to correct issues via your Profile.

Go to Hi Bobbisox1, view your profile.....above latest posts.

Then left click the grey box that says edit my profile.

Scroll down and uncheck "subscribe to all my own questions".

Hi Hans and Togo, I've done that and still my mailbox is filling up, I've deleted about 150 notifications that says I'm subscribed to, I even got one yesterday from a thread I wasn't in ( to my knowledge)

Altering one's Profile doesn't always work. My profile insists that my favourite food is HansUrbancka.

It's my view that there are technical problems in AB which need attention.

I had to register to get my original name back so that meant a different email address , I've never chosen the name Bobbs202 , God knows who did ;+) but the email attached to it worked okay, I had no problems but now I've had to stop notification ( sound) on my phone, it's driving me crazy

Sounds simple to me, Hans. Create an email address that is to be used only for AnswerBank, and set that email address on your profile (and Wordpress).

I don't disagree with what you are saying. However, I am endeavouring to make the point that it's not easy trying to alter anything recorded in one's Profile.

Hans - Bobbi had to make a new email account for Bobbisox1. Leave that email address in her profile and use her previous email address (as she's assumedly been doing for years) as her normal email address and log out of her AB one.

It's that simple.
