I think the problem one is the one that covers the answer box when you are typing. Not even well targeted and sometimes come back within seconds

Arh right, don’t answer that haha
Hi Bobbisox,

Some new ads went live over the weekend, so you might see some changes but none of them should be popups. If you are referring to the sticky banner at the bottom of the page on desktop and tablet, this isn't a popup and should hopefully be fairly unobtrusive. If you see anything else that is a popup or gets in the way, please let us know.
Yes - I'm getting more popup ads since the weekend. At the bottom & on the left of the screen. If it gets too annoying I'll just limit my time here.
I'm getting irritating banners for things local to me at the top and bottom of the page. They are NOT unobtrusive.
Question Author
Definitely not sticky’s, these are pop up ads
all the time
"Pop-up ads or pop-ups are forms of online advertising on the World Wide Web. A pop-up is a graphical user interface display area, usually a small window, that suddenly appears in the foreground of the visual interface. "

Are you sure these adverts are "Pop-Up"?
I don't really care what they are...I just want them to GO AWAY!
They obscure the bottom of the page...including the box I'm typing in now.
Question Author
Yes they are pop ups TD,no other way to describe them and irritating to boot
I'm getting them, too. Obscure the bottom of the page. Most annoying. The Saucy Fish co at the moment. Keep closing it and it keeps coming back.
I've got them top and bottom of screen, very obtrusive.
I'm getting the ones at the bottom of the screen - very discreet and not at all obtrusive, and as they fund this delightful forum, long may they continue.
These are very obtrusive. If you shut one down another appears in its place almost immediately. Very irritating almost to the point of unacceptability.

Have you checked your browser options 'not to allow pop-ups'
Will not stop adverts but will stop new browser windows opening.
Question Author
Done all that too SA
Err...how do I do that on a tablet?
Question Author
I assume it’s in settings Pasta, I’ve tweaked almost everything I know of here
I just found them... for both chrome and Samsung internet. Pop ups blocked. Those pesky ads are still there. Grrrrrr!
Question Author
Tell me about it Pasta, I’m on an iPad
