Auto-Censorship

The problem with auto-censorship is that the poor poster is unaware of what's targeted until after they have posted and see the mangled result. We had a fine example today when a poster put in the word for somebody who pecks (rhymes with wrecker).

Another Forum which I regularly use has a "Preview" facility which can be used prior to posting and reproduces the post as it will appear, which obviously reveals when you have been victimised by the auto-censor. Can we have a Preview feature in Answerbank please.

It cant happen that often and is easily rectified by reposting.
Trouble is most mistakes are typos which can be cpotted by a quick check before submission but most like me just want to post quickly and would just bypass it

How does the filter victimize folk if everyone using a banned word is treated in the same way?

"Victimized" suggests the person has been singled out for some reason as opposed to being treated in the same way as everyone else.
