Why is it when I click on my profile the avatar at the top of page with my stats is different to the avatar with all the threads i've started / contributed ?

The avatar showing is the one i've been using for a while - however when i came unto AB earlier today , it was showing my previous avatar as well as this one

However , it has corrected itself now - must have been some gremlins in the works
