Someone correcting spelling...someone giving their opinion without thinking about an answer...someone mentioning that they had only just joined, as though it must be a wind up.
It's hardly going to encourage them to come back is it?
But what about those who don't know that they don't know the answer?!
Seriously though, I agree with the Ed, I get really peed off at the sanctimonious crap that some people post - particularly in law. This is answerbank not judgemebank.
You can't possibly know the answer unless you have all the facts in front of you.
My cousin and his mate got arrested for the same crime, months apart, his mate got 13 months and he got community service. You never can tell what's going to happen.
Yep I'll second that- particularly annoying when people pass judgement on something the poster is obviously comfortable with or assumes that they can speak to people any way they like just because they're new members- oh yeah and of course the spelling and punctuaiton Nazi's who had a field day with me when I had an operation on my brain and wasn't too clever for a long while afterwards... really lame to be honest.
A while back now Ummm during my extended absence, I came back for a bit got fed up with not being able to say what I wanted to properly and so bu66ered off again lol, I'm all fit and well again now though but my puncuation is still crap...
B00 ... People rarely know the answer (as Ummmm says, they rarely have all the details). They can 'guess' at the answer, but guessing isn't knowing. If we're only allowed to post if we know the answer, the only way to get any answers at all on a serious post would be to include it in CB.
I'm speaking logically here, based on the Ed's earlier statement.
I daresay there will be a little latitude given.
However, responses questioning the identity of the poster, the veracity of the scenario described, the spelling and/or the grammar, or arguments between folks who have decided to 'answer' the thread will be most seriously dealt with................
