By nature, I never normally get involved in side-issues on threads, especially if people are sparring - but i have felt the need to defend a couple of fellow AB'ers of late - hopefully people will leave out the personals and get on with debating as and where appropriate.

I think we should have a 'naughty step category'. The Aber that is sent on it the most, would have to change their avatar to something like 'I am a Part' for a month.

It would be nice if there was a message the mods could post as 'moderator' rather than having people guessing who it is saying 'this thread is straying unacceptably you have been warned'

Might make it clearer when decisions seem arbitary because some of the posts are removed . At least we'd have an idea of what had gone on...and it seems some of the complaints made are about not knowing what they did wrong and of course once the post gets removed they can't look and learn..... some heavy posters wouldn't even be able to work out which thread they over stepped the mark on

Quite a nice idea Rowan, not sure how it would be implemented. It would have to be a rubber-stamp message so speculation about "oh that Mod sounded like SaldChef1922" etc wouldn't occur.

Will think on it.

just think the big complaint has often been lack of warning but would need to show user as 'moderator' perhaps by creating a poster and giving all the mods a password so they could log in to give the warning they would need to stick to a set script for it to work

Come on Naz, her digs at another poster were completely unnecessary and she was warned by several people but she took no notice. I don't think personal digs should be tolerated and they put people off posting, well they do me anyway.
