As you could probably tell from last weeks rant in Chatterbank the tension was seriously mounting at AB HQ. However, you'll be pleased to know the blood pressure has now settled even if some of your weird and wonderful behaviour hasn't!

So back to the point of this post...

Over the past week I have received several emails from users asking why we haven't emailed them back! I assure you we answer every email we receive unless you�re sending spam of course!

So, if you are going to email either The Technical Dept or The Editor at the AnswerBank can you please ensure your email account is set up to receive emails back from us As I said more emails than usual have bounced over the past week...wouldn't want you to think we weren't replying now would we.

If you're unsure how to do this please see the FAQ section and see question 6.

Also, if you are contacting the Editor with regards to a specific question you want removing/editing etc; well firstly you should do this through the reporting facility on the site.

However, if this option is not available and you report the post through email please be aware you will need to supply the question ID, this is the 6 digit code in the question URL. If you do not supply this code the thread will not be dealt with as we simply don�t have the time to trawl the whole site for your one question.

Sorry if this seems somewhat lazy but some users seem to think it�s appropriate to simply email us � �so and so said something that needs removing�. Now from that I don�t know how we�re meant to work out where and when so and so said something that needed removing! So please be a bit more specific when report posts via email.

As well I�d just like to say a big thank you to all you observant users who are on the ball reporting content against the site rules, keep it up! We need you to help eradicate the trolls and troublesome users who keep appearing on AB.

Finally, I�ve seen a few unanswered questions lurking in the AB depths. So, if you�ve got 2 minutes please take a look and help out a fellow ABer, we are after all a knowledge exchange!
