What has been going on !

Ok, so as you are aware over the past couple of weeks we have been experiencing some major technical difficulties, which I have tried to keep you up to date with. However, just to summarise the issues and to give you all an overview of what exactly has been going on here at AB HQ, I thought it wise to write you a blog! So here�s the story so far�.

We launched the beta version of AB, providing all users with additional functionality such as private messaging, the ability to build a profile and assign an avatar. Unfortunately the launch of the beta site played havoc with our databases which in turn meant some users were unable see various channel content, others had problems gaining access to the AnswerBank and for some of you, you couldn�t even see the site.

We are currently working to resolve issues with the AnswerBank databases, which we think we may have now fixed�fingers crossed! We apologise for the slowness of the site however, you should now notice the speed increasing. This is the first phase of our database restructure and we are still continuing to optimise the backend. To add to our problems and just when we thought we had started to get somewhere, this morning and our hosting providers DNS servers failed! They have assured us this wont happen again!

As I�m sure you can imagine it�s been somewhat hectic here! The Techies have been working hard in an attempt to rectify the problems you have been experiencing and to also prevent any further problems from occurring. We will continue to do this until we have everything back to normal!
