Your new Ed... reporting for duty!

Hope you're all well and having a good day!

Firstly, I'd like to start by saying thank you to those who read and posted on my Chatter Bank message. I aim to get to know all of you guys over the coming weeks/months.

My first week on the job has been pretty hectic, involving multiple trips to London to see the old editor, talking to the bosses about Answer Bank improvements and then collapsing in my bed during the wee hours after a very long day. It has certainly been stressful, but at the same time I'm very excited about what I'm doing. I believe that with your help we can change Answer Bank for the better, and make this a place where people can come and exchange ideas, knowledge and opinions freely without being subjected to a torrent of abuse.

Within the coming months Answer Bank will be undergoing some changes as we receive more resources to expand. We have a programmer working on a new version of the website, we will have more internal moderators and (hopefully very soon) a banning system that will stop repeat offenders permanently.

I have many meetings in the next few weeks where the powers that be will listen to your ideas and suggestions on how to approach some of the problems we�re all faced with. Please contact me and give me your thoughts, whether by email, phone or even carrier pigeon - your ideas will be put forward!

I know many of you are after immediate change, and some of you probably won�t warm to me until you see things happening around here. I completely understand your stance on the situation, and over the coming months I hope to win you over with the change you deserve.

So for now ladies and gents, I ask for you to play nice and to try not to give me too much of a hard time :-)
