Are there any ads on telly so irritating that they have the opposite effect on you? One of mine is the Harveys ads that accompany Coronation Street. I would never set foot in a Harveys store - just imagine coming across these two half wits!

there are several but the first one that comes to mind is the window company with the bog off man
Go compare, muted immediately
The creeps that push Life Insurance which is a bad bargain for the great majority of people. In fact the worst kinds of financial product seem to get money hungry "celebs" to promote them.
Most of them drive me crazy with the over the top 'push to buy'.

But one set of ads should be stopped and that's all the gambling ads....with the state the country is in at the minute (and only gonna get worse), people are being led into a world of losing money, when they probably haven't got it to spend.
Paddy Power's 'vuvuzela' ad. It's bad enough having it repeated constantly during the football, but I passed the truck in the ad on the A14 today. Adding insult to injury!

Yes that nice Michael Parkinson sitting there asking you to buy life insurance.

While underneath in small letters it says "note you may finish up paying in more than you get out at time of death" or words to that effect.
Cillit BANG! would never ever buy that
Most charity adverts have the opposite effect on me. They are the one's I would never give too. I give to charities that just do the job and don't fell the need to make Me fell that its my fault and that I can solve the problem. Usually the Sound rather than the visuals.
The Coop food ads voice-over puts me off buying food there. As does the Tesco ads.
The direct Line adverts with Alexander Armstrong are my pet hate - though I did laugh yesterday when they ran a number of adverts with a 'special offer' only available until the day before.
GO compare with that fat singer, i have to switch it off immediately, or turn over to another channel
Those strange CSL sofa adverts.
Most of them.
..oh and that Galay chocolate advert where the woman looks like an alien and smiles with clenched teeth after popping in a piece of chocolate.
Why does the go compare a.d have a bouncy castle with towers that look like dog's penises?
The train line ad is gross
that bird that goes into her favourite caramel shop, enough to make you give up sweets.
Mrs B dislikes the oreo ad, she wants to give the kids a slap.
