I don't - but I have to look when I'm entering numbers, I was away the day they taught the fingering for numbers (no keyboard at the side in those days!)
Nope don't look at the keys, trained as an audio typist, there wasn't the time to look at the keys. This skill stayed with me and helped me earn a lot of money when I was working as a transcriber.
No, I was never trained as a typist but when I came to use my first PC I was given the software 'Mavis Beacon Teaches Typing'...............I bloody hated Mavis.
Do you use (roughly) the right fingers? I watched someone on the train yesterday typing on a laptop - it was awful to watch, one finger is fine, but please keep to the right half of the keyboard :-)
Depends upon how I sit. I must admit to being very lazy now and frequently glance.
Wasn't taught touch-typing, I tried and tried but no, couldn't do it.
Audio-typing, that's another one.
The little casette and the stop start pedals on the floor!!
I was taught to keep elbows in and use all the fingers. The space bar was for thumbs only.
No, I don't. But I originally trained as a secretary and then I taught typing and office skills for a couple of years. Mr BM still doesn't understand how I can sit here typing away and not even look at the screen, never mind my fingers.
Was taught touch typing when 14 (100 years ago lol) and OH is amazed when I can sit and type and look out of the window to watch what goes on if I need to lol. So glad I can type in the dark too as need for the light on when I get up in the dark mornings. Mind you when I've had a couple of alcofrolic beverages it's sometimes a different storeyy.; :-)
