Does anyone else find it a bit harsh that this young lad is considered to be more picturesque with his freckles removed?

While removing his freckles does seem to enhance the image somewhat, I can't say the same for the two women (bottom thumbnail). I preferred them as they were!

Yes, I preferred those women 'warts and all' too - I've got nothing against 'softening' a portrait subtly in PS or Camera Raw but to completely remove features I thing is a little bit insulting IMO. I remember seeing an official state portrait of Mikhail Gorbachev where they'd totally removed his birthmark - how pompous!
