Roger that. Bin off sick & discovered Answerback. Only with RM for 7 years, in a previous life my leanings were to the right of Attila the Hun & Alex the Great but a closet syndiclyst & socialist emerged after seeing how RM mismanaged what was an institution. I Joined intending to become SIB but in 3 weeks flat became militant! Mickey Mouse wears an Allen Leighton watch! I don't blame you for getting out. Head against brick wall?

I left the Inland Revenue (I was a PCS rep). I loved it - felt I made a real difference with personal cases I did. I was lucky, really high membership in the Revenue so not hard convincing people to join. What people hate most is if they don't think their rep is actually doing any repping - some people I knew who shall forever remain nameless did not exactly inspire confidence, so I did my best to regain it on behalf of the union. think it worked too.
