As it just doesn’t apply to the African Continent
I refer to to current ads for WaterAid for example and give £2 a month and other ads for similar stuff when our own country is in crisis, should these be showing?
If everyone in the UK donated just a one off payment of £2 to our Hospices and care homes , they’d have nearly £133.000.000 to help them out in this current crisis

Everyone has the choice to donate to whichever charity they want. Or not, as the case may be.

You cannot stop any charity paying for advertising space on television any more than you can stop advertising for a food you don't like, or a rubbish movie.

// There’s nothing to stop any organisation advertising or to stop the public giving where they choose.//

I am sorry Naomi free speech or not- these are not true statements in law and need / desreve public airing

"There’s nothing to stop any organisation advertising " - you cannot advertise slimming crystals that dont work - (they all dont work, samantha thingey found that one out). And charities cannot advertise to collect money they arent set up for ( home charity and foreign aid) - for instance, There are clearly other rules they must abide by

"to stop the public giving where they choose." yes you cannot give money for an unlawful object - such a contract for murder, child abduction, kidnapping or terrorism

other than that there are nothing wrong with the statements

I thoroughly recommend your support of free speech whatever - BUT some of your statements may lead to avoidable financial loss if a reader follows them and therefore demands comment - whether or not you approve
