Just discovered this on a Waitrose reduced shelf. Its so
lovely and now of course they dont sell it any more and its really difficult to find.
The flavour is good - a bit more tangy than their standard ketchup and I use it as a spread or in sauces or just dolloped on whatever.
Has anyone else tried it ?

No Ive not, Rosie, but it sounds right up my street, can’t beat a splash of balsamic in many things.

Yes Vagus - I thought of you when you posted your idea on using a glut of tomatoes. I thought this ketchup would go well in that.
Always a shame when they discontinue something good.

Would it work by adding a suitable amount of balsamic to regular ketchup? (Actual quantity determined 'according to taste'; i.e. by trial & error.)
That's the US Heinz Twitter feed, Mamya, from over two years ago, so it doesn't automatically follow that the product has been discontinued in the UK.

It's still listed on their UK website
https://www.heinz.co.uk/sauces/tomato-ketchup/products/100185010002?filter=tomato-ketchup&catId=100185010010
but Trolley.co.uk (which is usually fairly reliable for finding products in supermarkets) only lists it as being available in Waitrose (where, obviously from Rosie's post, it won't be around much longer).

For a definitive answer about the product's future in this country (if any), try contact Heinz directly by using this web form:

This stuff is the sauce of the Gods:

https://www.waitrose.com/ecom/products/gordons-mustard-and-dill-sauce/411194-57876-57877

It's amazing on crusty white bread with beef or pulled ham...
A very good point, Prof. I remember a while ago someone on here bemoaning the fact that Heinz no longer make curried baked beans. The solution? Buy a tin of ordinary beans, add a few sultanas and some curry powder. Heat as usual. Problem solved.
a mention or whiff of Gordon's and Lady Cg's drooling.....!

I'll keep a look out for it though.
It might be worth looking for the Belazu version
https://www.belazu.com/shop/tomato-and-balsamic-ketchup

Their products are sold in several supermarkets

PS: I can't stand tomato ketchup!
Used a lot in old cowboy movies :-)
Sorry about the duff link, as it was showing unavailable in UK supermarkets I put 2 and 2 together badly.
Belazu do some amazing products, Chris. I'm a big fan of their Zhoug and their preserved lemons.
Rosie, we’re going to have that pasta thing next week, I’ve just been checking to make sure I’ve got everything in, in case I need to add something to click and collect.
It reminded me that we’ve not had it in ages :)
They sell it at Tesco so I might just add it to my list.

Have I got the wrong product?
Shows as unavailable on my screen.
Barsel, it says in thatnlink it’s no longer available.
It says currently unavailable as are a lot of products at the moment.
