Cillit Bang ad
Is it just me or does anyone else think that there is no need for Cillit Bang Barry to yell how good his product is. I'm sure that advert is about 25% louder than any other advert on tv. Why? If I see it on the shelf, i'll think of Loud Barry and deliberately buy another product.

No you're not the only one - I sit there in amazement as it is such a truely awful , cringeworthy ad that they must have spent about 2 making.. And why the heck is the product called Cillit Bang. And what the hell has barry got to do with it - did he invent it or something. Perhaps we should set up a de-fan club entitled Ban Cillit Bang Barry !!!!
Also very irritating is the series of ad's for Safestyle windows and doors....the ones with Cannon and ball, Ken Morley and the shouting long haired window man.
Running closely behind that must be the Helibed ad's, although this might only be seen in the Central area.
Both are prime examples for the connoisseurs of shouting.
Any more?
Some of you Cillit Bang fans may enjoy this rather clever "re-mix" someone has done - must have taken hours!

No. I'm saying that unlike Alan Sugar and Sharon Osborne who are genuinely famous and put their REAL names to products, stores and charities (whether or not they use them), Barry Scott is entirely fictional, and that the name "Barry Scott" is purely used so that viewers are meant to believe that his is a name we should recognise.
