how long is a piece of string?  do you intend to just pay for food, or are ypo paying for trips/shopping/experiences too?

Fair enough. I hate messing with foreign currency and paying exchange commision...some credit cards give a good rate and it's so much easier...and the bill doesn't have to be paid off for maybe a month.

I'd allow £100  a day, whatever that is in canadian dollars...and take a credit card just in case.
