Does any one know the tune played to advertise last weeks supernatral? it was also used in the film 28 days later when the soldiers get killed?

Not sure , but John Murphy did the soundtrack , along with Godspeed You Black Emperor. In The Hous In A Heartbeat was used for a Peugeot ad. Sample here

Are you thinking of Echo and The Bunnymen, Killing Moon? I know that was used in some adverts for Supernatural and bugged me for a while
