This is very testing... there was an advert for 'pretty polly, - probably about 15 years ago! In it a girl and a sailor kiss and he then gets on the board then she puts her braclet into her tights and throws it onto the ship. It's a piece of opera. i have been trying to find it forever and now keep thinking i've found it without knowing....

It may be from Puccini's 'Madame Butterfly'. Un bel di vedremo (One fine day), I think the aria is called. Or you could contact PP themselves, I suppose.

Or could be the aria 'Ne Andro Lontana' from 'La Wali'. Both have the la dolce vita atmosphere about them.

I too have been searching for this since I saw the Pretty Polly advert all those years ago - and I finally found it.

It's from Puccini's "Tosca" (Act 1).
