I believe two or three Tennents Pilsner adverts ('brewed with Czechoslovakian yeast for that extra pilsner flavour') in the mid-eighties were recorded 'backwards' (i.e. with people saying their lines backwards) and then replayed forwards for a very odd effect.

The Tennants Plisner advert was seen in about 1991 and I can remember two ads, one set on a beach and one in a pub. "We've come to see your famous dog..." I seem to remember Hale and Pace doing a parody of the pub ad with people throwing darts backwards in the background etc, and even the audience laughter seemed to be played backwards.
