Check the MTU size oand VPI/VCI settings. Sounds like a packet fragmentation to me.

Is the ADSL modem in the router or connected to the PC ?

hi only just got back on internet still having problems so am using dial up at mo. dont understand computer talk much so not sure how to check the MTUsize and VPI/VCI settings , also my modem i connect to computer .
OK.. When you installed the modem you would have had to supply the ISP Settings. i.e. Where you added your username /, password that kind of information.

I can't talk you through the exact step by step instruction as I don't know the type of modem you are using.

When adding these settings there will be an option to supply various information. I'll go and check the settings for wanadoo an post them back here.
