My husband and myself have a small business making retractable fly screens for windows and doors. We have an advert in the yellow pages and in Cheshire Life, but can't think of anywhere else that would be good to advertise in without costing the earth, has anyone any suggestions please.
Have you thought of setting up a web site?
So many people now will look for something they want via a Google search.
If you sell your fly-screens mail order, you could get business from all over the country.
If you don't have the technical know-how to set up a web site, perhaps approach a local art college, there may be budding web site designers that would like the chance to add a web site to their portfolio.
I would suggest places like the farming press - farmers weekely, farmers guardain, country smallholder etc or horsey mags at local equestrain centres/shops etc because people with livestock nearby, like us, suffer really badly from flies at this time of year. Also try Ebay, i have just bought a few fly traps and a zapper off there because i didn't know where to look for them locally
myself and two friends have just started a advertising an website company. we all have profesional experience in advertising and web design but are trying to get off the ground and are still at university. we would be prepared to consider a website, advert design or full identity for low prices. if you have any interest plaese e-mail me, [email protected].
