In the latest Flash advert, the "Britains cleaner" one, whats the last piece of music that plays? The piece with the really fast strings. Any classical fans out there with the answer, please let me know!

yes please if anyone finds out what the name is of the tune that the flash advert plays at the end with the violens, please e-mail at [email protected]. also i may have some information that may help. i had my subtitles on and when the advert came on it said "Spring Modern Violen music". hope that helps : )
Interesting, although i think that maybe just a teletext subtitles description for the hard of hearing. This is starting to frustrate me now as i'm seeing the ad all the time and really like the sound of this piece; would love to use it in a tune. I'm actually starting to obsess over it! Seriously though, thanks for all your help so far and keep up the good work. I know we'll crack it sooner or later.

I love the sound of this music too...I've done some research, and the best i can do is the fllowing. The 'Art Director for advert was Mike Sands for the Grey London Agency...He can be contacted on 02076363399. I havent had the bottle to phone him!! If anyone is willing to do it then please do and keep us updated on here!!

Thanks Kwillmott, thats the best answer we've had so far. Having said that i'm not sure if its actually correct. The violins seem to be doing the same kind of thing as in the advert but the cello doesn't play the same note progression as it does in the advert so i'm not entirely convinced. Also i've recently seen on some other websites and on an identical question here at answerbank, that the piece of music is called 'Tig A Tag' and can be found on a compilation album called 'Minimalism 2' although i cant find this anywhere. If anyone can find this album anywhere can they let me know? Then i can compare the two pieces and give everyone a definitive answer. Cheers.

Inverso is right, it is Tig a Tag by Paul Mottram, I've just listened to it and it's spot on (it kicks in after about one and a half minutes on the sample). And here was me thinking it was Philip Glass (try String Quartet 2 ii & String Quartet 5 iii for a very similar sound). The problem is it looks like it's only available to advertising companies and not Joe Public...I'm sure they'll be a way of obtaining this!!!!
The song Perpetuum Mobile by Penguin Cafe Orchestra was on a vodaphone advert a while back, but it's still a brilliant song and another (older) song which I have discovered that sounds exactly like it is "Blue Rondo A La Turk" by The Dave Brubeck Quartet, I'm tone deaf so I can't really recognise different notes, but if anyone wants to compare and see if the Penguin Cafe Orchestra stole that tune? Also, speaking of The Dave Brubeck quarter I'd just like to say that the crappy --Pringles-- plaguiarised version of their song "Take Five" is much worse than the actual song...
I have managed to get a copy of 'Tig A Tag' now and if any of you want a copy of it i will be glad to email it to you if you're brave enough to leave your email address here. Also, let me know what bitrate you want it at and i'll try to sort that for you too. Apart from that I'd just like to say thanks to anyone who has helped with researching this track, I cant believe how many other tracks have been considered and how alike some of them sound but Tig A Tag is definitely the one. If any of you have listened to the Steve Reich and Penguin cafe suggestions, Tig A Tag sounds like the violins from the first of these two, coupled with the cello from the latter; so i can totally understand where these suggestions came from. Anyway thanks for your help and let me know if you want the track. Cheers.
[email protected] - thank you!!! :D
