Artist was Bobby Hebb, record is called 'Sunny' - as in shine, not 'Sonny' as in little oik whom you intend to patronise in your role as officer of the law. This may be where people have had problems finding it.
Record was released in 1966 on the Philips label, the B-side was Bread and it peaked at No 2. It's been re-released by numerous people, Boney M etc. Bobby Hebb's original still the best. Hope that helps!
