Hi Kelly,

Well a very large crowd (most of whom have been drinking in the many nearby pubs beforehand) gathers in Trafalgar Square on the run-up to midnight to celebrate as Big Ben chimes in the New Year. Its usually a great atmosphere around there - although you might receive a few hugs and kisses from complete strangers !.

Never heard of a 'Titanic' hotel though - are you sure that's the name? Who would think of naming a hotel after a disaster?!!

If you let me know the name of the show/restaurant you're going to (unless its a surprise from your boyfriend?) I'm sure that I can send you some links to reviews of them both.

I hope he's booked flights and not fights otherwise your evening maybe ruined. LOL
Have you tried googling the Titanic Hotel?
They usually have fireworks along the Thames as well.
Have fun whatever you end up doing.
We went to Trafalgar Square for New Year a few years ago.. It has changed so much in the last few years.. You are no longer allowed to drink there at all and the police do check to try and keep order. A lovely way to see in the New Year is to book a boat cruise down the Thames.. You get dressed up, have a great meal and get to see the city light up with fireworks.. Much nicer than Trafalgar Square I can assure you...

hahah i never even noticed i said fights. ooops again.

Ooooh a boat cruise down the Thames sound great.

We did Edinburgh street party last year which was good but i think its better to go as part of a group to something like that rather than a couple. so now i am thinking Boat cruise.

Thank you so much again. and sorry for my hiccups but i have learnt u get good answers in random places. might put my next queery in Body and soul. haha. Kx
