Remember the Ariston (washing machines etc) advert where they half sang and half spoke the silly slogan "ariston andon andon" etc Is Ariston still in business, I never seem to hear thier name now ?

Of the brands under the Indesit umbrella, Ariston is focussed mainly in mainland Europe (as well as the US and South America) while Hotpoint has the UK market (with Hotpoint USA being owned by GE Appliances).

As an example, the Aqualtis is marketed in Europe as Ariston and in the UK as Hotpoint.
