I don't know about anywhere in the World. But Scotland is the Celtic fringe and the Celts tended to be red haired.
My beard used to be red (now grey) My eldest son's beard is red & all his children have red hair, maybe because his wife is red haired.as well. Our ancestry is Scottish. Incidentally it is a fact that midgies don't bite red haired people.
I'm of Scottish descent too, and yes, there are redheads throughout the generations (including me).

I'm not sure whether the invading Vikings didn't add to the red-haired gene pool on their many 'visits' to the northern reaches of our islands.
