I dont think its THE village people .the leather guy died of cancer a few years back and they would all be over 50 by now. sorry it doesnt really answer your question.
Hi - sorry, I haven't seen the ad so I'm not sure if it is the actual Village People or some extras miming to the song. The actual 'Indian' (Native American) in the Village People was called Felipe Rose. There is a good pic of him on http://www.rotten.com/library/culture/village- people. I think he has sadly died now...what a good-looking guy he was though (I am speaking from a woman's viewpoint!) BTW I think Wikipedia contradicts the notion that the Village People were the first all-gay band, and states they were the second all-gay band - in fact I don't think they were all gay anyway..just liked to put across that image as they were largely a manufactured band). Felipe Rose was reputed to be gay though, not that it matters to me. If it is a remake, then I guess you'd have to contact Take a Break to see what agency they'd have used for the video.
Sorry, that link does not work but I'm sure that he must have other websites in his honour
Bill The Indian
i know this doesn't help, but my boyfriend is convinced it's Tom Cruise! THE Tom Cruise!
Oops..somebody just told me he is not in the slightest bit dead...must have been thinking of chaotica's leather man. So apologies for that total faux pas.
Maybe you could try this link: www.officialvillagepeople-com/Flip%20page.html
Although there is a pic of him there in a grotty old jumper and it doesn't look so kewl :-(
