It is, indeed, "Make your own kind of music", written by Cass Elliot but the version in Lost isn't Mama Cass, it's a woman called Angelina. Sounds quite similar to Cass though. It's on itunes if you want it.

jollygreen - you are correct in your assertion that Angelina's version does not sound identical to that of Mama Cass Elliot and is how we can be certain that Angelina's is not the version used on the show.

Also, how would Desmond be able to play Angelina's version (issued in 2001 on CD only) using his record turntable?
