I live in a rural area, I am a migrated townie who would never go back to city living. There are a lot of Rabbits in the field opposite my house. I noticed some acting strange and was actually able to walk up to them only to find they were in a bit of a state. There eyes were all pussed up and they just cowered. Someone suggested it was a virus cultivated by man called miximitosis. Has any one got any info on this. I realise that rabbits can be a pest but surely there is a betterway to control them. I think shooting them would be preferable at least it would be quick. Any help???

Thanks Mortatube. All aspects answered. It seems like a horrible slow death. Sometimes I question wether humans should be the custodians of the earth. I agree with managing species but not in this way. My fiancee is almost in tears watching them fall about. The worst thing is we live opposite a huge nature reserve and the area is very calmind so this sort of thing is a bit of a shock. thanks anyway...
