The new one where Bryan Ferry is signing an autograph for a band who are just about to go on stage. Carlsberg don't do kareoke...........name of the band please?

Errr..... it's not a band, dear - just a few lager-drinking lads that can't sing, doing karaoke.

The ad continues the theme that "If Carlsberg did...[whatever].... it would be the best in the world".
In this instance, karaoke - so, instead of a few hopeless warblers in some backstreet pub, Carlsberg karaoke would involve a headline appearance at a major festival, famous artists asking for your autograph etc. etc.

Previous ads have had themes of 'Carlsberg nightclubs' (group of lager-drinking lads go to nightclub with lots of 'gorgeous' girls, nice bouncers and plenty of taxis when you leave) and 'Carlsberg Takeaways' (group of lager-drinking lads served 5-star Chinese by 'pretty waitresses' in a restaurant setting that pulls away to reveal lovely front room and massive flat-panel TV screen to show the footy)

I'm sure you get the idea now....

One thing that gets me - if that nightclub was so fantastic, why did the guys all leave empty-handed?!

The impication is that if it had have been a 'Carlsberg' nightclub then you would come out on top of the world having found your dream date. Rather than the ordinary dull usual club experience?
