It's because a lot people who are watching afternoon TV are stuck there because they've had an accident.

It's a similar reason why they put loans adverts in between the horse racing.

It's due to this "liability" culture that my kids can't go on school trips, Can't go on outings with the Brownies, can't do anything just in case there's an accident after which someone will be liable ! The answer is simple, If you trip over at work, BE MORE BLOODY CAREFUL !!!

Exactly. We get more like the Yanks every day.

One advert which really riles me is where the woman is coming in to work and slips on a puddle of water. "My first thought was how difficult it would be to claim", exclaims the woman. Jeez! My first thought would be have I broken my ankle.
