Nothing is free man! There must be a catch!!
yeah true nothings free but.. u can design ur own template on a webdesigner like dreamweaver or photoshop (i design mine on pageplus :-P) n then get a free hosting provider like 110mb or iifree, they'll provide u with a free sub domain as well ( e.g mywebsite.110mb.com) .. but i think its better to buy one (for around 10-15 a yr) n then replace the sub domain. :-) i hope that helps!
oh yea n there are free templated u can use but most of them tell u to link ur site to theres or have forced adds.. so ur better off without them.. :-)
Yes you can make a free website using something like http://www.angelfire.lycos.com/ among others. The catch is that they riddle your website with adverts and pop-ups.

If are serious about a website, you will need to pay to have your own domain, own webspace. I use http://www.123reg.co.uk for my website and have had no problem with them at all.

I would use a program called Joomla which is basically a content management system and there are hundreds of free templates that are actually quite professional looking.

You can get free advertless hosting for one website from awardspace
