There was a Reebok(?) ad from the late 80's where there was a stationary white line across the screen and athletes from different sports used it as a finishing line (for running a race), a goal line for scroing a goal, a try line for rugby players to score a try etc tennis, long jump, hurdler etc. It was very well thought out and had some catchy music to acompany it.
