Relax, I'm not about to ask for the music.

But that Stella Artois ad, the one where the old boy goes into a bar and takes off his hat, then gets it back when he leaves? Does anyone 'get' it? What's supposed to be happening? And what, pray, is the significance of the pineapple?

I'm probably wrong but it looks like everyone is helping everyone else out with something or another lol even the monkey
my thoughts exactly saxy_jag
I think it is a literal interpretation of the catchline 'pass on something'. Unfortunately they pay an advertising agency a fortune to come up with a slogan that nobody notices has a double meaning - so i'll pass on the stella and have a pint of bitter please!
If they were to make an advert about Stella to show the true affects of it they`d probably show a bloke beating his missus up!

its about people looking out for each other the old man walks out of the tavern forgetting his hat all in the tavern know him so seeing that he leaves without his hat they pass it around the tavern to hand to him before he leaves
The person taking the pineapple has obviously received some kind of stolen goods, and so is given notice by the barman that the policeman is looking around.

Everyone is helping each other.
