I guess companies who advertise , must consider that it does work ,otherwise why would they waste their money doing it .

I can see that if you were considering buying a
product / service , and you saw an advert about that type of product or services , you may be persuaded .

However , I cannot remember ever seeing an advert and being pursuaded to go out and buy the product

Am I unsual ?

I wouldn't know about TV advertising, but I do remember reading once that the income generated by advertising at a single Formula 1 event was enough to cover the advertisers' costs for a whole season.
I have to admit the Magners cider ads do make me want to pour myself a nice, cold glass of cider.

But not Magners! Aspall's, Dunkerton's, Bulmer's Special Reserve, yes!

When I was a young man I remember being impressed by the Old Spice ad and the "mark of a man" slogan and when I was VERY young the SR toothpaste ad .."tingling fresh SR"!
