No, it must have been before this as I moved North from Essex in March 2007, and a firend down there was already singing the boom chicka, wa waaa tune by then............ I think it was earlier in 2007

That's as may be but "Bom Chicka Wah Wah" had existed as a phrase for many, many years before Bartle Bogle Hegarty applied it to their campaign for Lynx, which was rolled out onto TV on Monday 5th 2007, as reported by Brand Republic, the leading online business portal for the advertising, media, marketing and PR industries, in the above link.
