New 3 Advert

I know there's questions about the music on the new 3 ad with the jelly fish and japanese men, but does anyone actually get it? What on earth is it going on about??

Haven't got a clue becks. I think it's just supposed to be so bizarre that it sticks in the memory.

I have just seen this and it left me wondering too - what the hell does a jelly fish, two japanese dudes and a mobile phone company have to do with each other?

I DONT UNDERSTAND IT EITHER AND WAS IT ME OR WAS THE JELLY FISH HANGING OF A TREE AT THE START OF THE AD?

thank god i'm not the only one...but i guess it's done what it set out to do and has got people talking. my take is that 3 want to be seen as the network which lets people share their experiences...like the wierd japanese 'croc dundee' dude sharing his beer with the jelly fish.

as cited in the Guardians issue of The Guide this week. "In Hakodate, Japan, each August there is a festival honouring the squid. This vast tentacle-based knees up culminates in 20,000 Japanese, dressed in straw hats (looking like cowboys) dancing the wobbly-limbed squid dance - aka the "Ika-odori"." So what looks completely alien and surreal to us maybe isn't that bizarre. And if we share and connect (using 3 technology, of course ;)) we will learn about each other. Having seen the new 3 ad last night, which I have yet to decrypt, this rationale makes a lot of sense.
