I think it is Sarabande by Handel, or part of.
It is indeed the sarabande from one of handel's keyboard suites, arranged for orchestra. You can find it in that form on the Barry Lyndon Soundtrack (Kubric) or Naxos Cinema classics Vol. 3 . . . . . Ciao
Quite right that it's Handel's sarabande, associated with Barry Lyndon. It was also recorded by Micamac quite a few years ago (not sure how best to describe them - Celtic / South American fusion?) on their album Bach en Stock. If you can find it I'd recommend it (and if you can find that album, or any Micamac, on CD, I'd love to know, as I have only a well-worn tape!)
It is the saraband from Handels Harpsicord suite No. 4
The group Micamac play on a regular basis just inside the walls of the old town in Concarneau, in southern Brittany. We saw them there several times this summer and bought their excellent album, 'Concerts' They have an e-mail address which is [email protected]
