My eighteen month old female cat has perfect health but recently I have noticed a loss of fur at the back end of her tummy and inside her back legs. The fur round her bottom is normal but there is a small patch at the base of her tail.
She has been Frontlined and wormed (although she is due now for a new dose) and in every other way she is healthy.

I feel a vet visit is necessary.
It could be overgrooming caused by stress, or flea allergy.
One of our monsters started pulling his fur out along his back about a year ago, he has always had flea treatment but the vet is sure it's flea allergy. Tried injections - no good, now on steroid tablets but still pulling out fur.
Not a good advert for our cattery business.
I would agree that it could be a flea allergy but you need to take her to the vet.

And of course if it's fleas you will have to treat your home as well.
