Hi puss - sadly, no. We've had adverts in the local paper this week and I've followed up several reported sightings - one of which was a cat who was Rover's double, but not microchipped and had all his teeth, so I had to put him back! - but no. It's been five weeks now, and we are desolate - and starting to worry about his health. I can only hope that he's tagged onto a home with other cats, where someone is feeding him.
Meanwhile, the other two cats are really coming out of their shells without Rover taking up our attention - it's the humans who miss him, not the cats....
I really hope that the little monster gets home soon- it must be hard for the humans in the household. Do you think that your other cats had anything to do with the escape?

I am thinking of both you and Rover each day - I hope that he has found some silly humans (or hooomans as Frankie calls them) to feed him and care for him.

Thank you wolf - it's very hard for the humans, we really miss him. And no, the others are innocent but pleased.... I too am hoping he'd doing what he did when he first came to us, smiling at people who look like they might feed him. We've not given up hope yet, but I do worry in case his condition is taking over, without his medication - in which case he'll start being sick when he eats, and then get dehydrated.
He could well emerge if that was the case, boxtops.

probably has been in the sex shop having a blast with the.......
toys I was going to say.
DT, my sister really made me laugh the other day, she said that I'll probably find him in the High Street, selling the Big Issue...

(and he's got no nuts, so Anne Summers wouldn't really appeal)
Boxy, maybe he's the first to have opposable thumbs :)

I do hope he turns up sooner rather than later. He is in a mega-huff.
He was when he ran off, alba!

OH always said that if cats had opposable thumbs, they could open their own dinners...
maybe its worth looking in a shop selling nuts then.....anything from walnuts to hexnuts, so foodstores, farmshops and local hardware (most appropriate).

have you targeted your local restaurants/chippies/supermarkets etc as if he is hungry, their bins may be highly attractive.
We've concentrated on the housing estates, since some of them are teeming with cats (peope do seem to abandon them, or not neuter them..), and local factories where people have sandwiches and so on. There is a lot of rough ground and gardens between there and here, and he is a mean mouser and flycatcher. We live in hope.
box... maybe someone has taken him into their home thinking he was a stray, and he is being well looked after,,,,,,
I hope so anne, but equally I'd hope they take him to the vet at some point, then they'll find out that he's chipped, and send him home.

Sorry that I have only just come back here, been away for a few days. I think about Rover every day and I do hope this has a happy ending soon.
